Within the multi-brand store, a new internal designer makes his foray into the Indian market. It is none other than ELIE SAAB. ELIE SAAB, who is so distinctively renowned for his worldwide fashion designs and runway-ready dresses since the 1980s has made his India debut in the home decor segment. This Lebanese designer, who is also an Oscar winner, is known for his designs which speak of royalty and elegance.

At Vita Moderna ELIE SAAB Maison unveils its Low Tables collection designed by Italian architect and designer, Carlo Colombol and imbued with the brand's signature sophistication while blending contemporary design elements with traditional craftsmanship and attention to detail. A striking piece from the collection is the Palace low tables, with structural brass bases and exquisite finishes, the collection pays homage to the opulence of Middle Eastern palaces. The ELIE SAAB Monogram Tables are conversation starters featuring eye-catching design pieces with a contemporary spirit. We spoke to the designer Carlo Colombo to learn more about the ELIE SAAB Low Tables Collection.

Elie Saab Maison's new collection talks about outdoor pieces, what makes this collection so special is the shape and construction. Each piece features a curve using a brown colour tube made of steel with brown colour. The composition of the collection is like the system comprising the armchair, the sofa, the sunbed, table chair,” said the designer Carlo Colombo.

Adding further, he told The Style List, “This collection is perfect for the outdoors. However, you can select the special finishing for the fabric (not leather), in one colour only which is your bronze-brown colour. This collection follows the design of the flower and haute couture inspired by the dress of a woman, following the organic curve shape”

But one piece was the most unique and distinct and Carlo let us in on his most beloved piece from the collection, “The icon piece this year for Elie Saab is The Lobster”, he says “an armchair with the shape of a lobster, that has a special shape, finishing and material. This dual-toned material is what makes this armchair the centrepiece for this collection.”

When it comes to creating timeless pieces and looking forward to more collaborations in the near future and on how Elie Saab Maison blends haute couture with interior design, Carlo says “When it comes to haute couture, Elie Saab is the best in the fashion industry. The dress is a combination of great colour, finishing and detail. I would love to bring 50% of my experience of the fashion world, mixed with Eli Saab’s 50% of his DNA inspiration into the collection. The process of designing collections is like creating a cake, a flavourful and unique design every time.”
