It seems everyone's chatting about the success of Queen Charloette: A Bridgerton Story. After the success of the Netflix series Bridgerton and Queen Charlotte, London’s finest residence, The Lanesborough is paying tribute to the highly loved show with an exclusive Queen Charlotte-themed afternoon tea in collaboration with Netflix and Shondaland. Whether you are vacationing in true Brit style or simply looking for a delightful experience, booking a spot here is a no-brainer.
The Lanesborough, London's afternoon tea experience is an innovative series of seasonal afternoon teas that pays homage to the Regency era; a time of great revelling and high style, of elegant parties, balls, and grand dinners, with a contemporary twist. Setting the scene, the Queen Charlotte Afternoon Tea takes place in The Lanesborough’s royally decorated dining room, naturally illuminated during the day by a domed glass roof while offering a soothing ambience at night under softly lit chandeliers. The menu pays tribute to the the whimsical and beloved characters, including King George, Lady Violet, Lady Danbury and of course Queen Charlotte herself, by way of intricately designed sweet treats and cocktails created by Head Pastry Chef Salvatore Mungiovino and his team.
On the menu you will find a host of teas and high tea snacks like finger sandwiched, Tea cured salmon, lemon and caper cream, Coronation chicken, golden raisin, fresh coriander, devilled egg mayonnaise, mustard cress, Organic cucumber, cream cheese, basil and chive. Keeping some of the cukture of scones alive, you must savour the Montgomery cheddar scone, with cheese custard and the sweet Lanesborough’s scones with whippsed cream and jam.

It is elegantly decorated with hues of gold and red and made from Royal Icing fitting for a Queen. In honour of King George The King George Dreams of Venus is a cake of distinction and his pet nickname for his Queen, to the planet Venus. An indulgent chocolate dessert, it is made of 54% chocolate mousse, jasmin-infused dark chocolate ganache, coca sable and glazed with blue and white and universal stars. Inspired by Lady Violet’s elegant fashion, The Lady Violet is a chocolate bavaroise, mango compote with lime chantilly which rests on a crunchy shortbread base and is finished with tempered chocolate, and sugar flowers. Finally the, Danbury Delight takes inspiration from Lady Danbury’s love of hats and jewels. Made with Berryiolette pistachio gateaux it showcases the signature Danbury signature purple and is topped with vanilla whipped ganache, a vanilla sable base and finished with purple tempered chocolate.
Queen Charlotte Inspired Cocktails
But if you thought the deliciousness is limited just to food, you are wrong. Because when it comes to the Tons scandal and gossip a delicious tipple is well savoured.
