Shop Till You Drop At Purnam’s Upcoming Diwali Edit

With just two weeks left until Diwali, India’s most beloved festival, the festive spirit is in full swing. The cool autumn air is setting in, homes are being cleaned top to bottom, and twinkling lights are starting to appear, creating a warm and joyful atmosphere. Streets are buzzing with excitement as people prepare for both Karva Chauth and Diwali. Conversations are filled with plans for family gatherings, delicious feasts, and lively Diwali parties. To ease the preparations for Karva Chauth and Diwali, the city is abuzz with the excitement of the Diwali Edit exhibitions, offering a diverse range of festive essentials and luxury items. One such eagerly awaited showcase is Purnam's Diwali Edit, promising a vibrant celebration of local artistry and extravagant festive adornments.

Founded in 2006 by four visionary women—Saroj Bhatia, Sarita Baluja, Indu Gupta, and Jani Dhingra—Purnam is a name that stands for both elegance and philanthropy. It’s not only a platform to support India’s local artisans but also one that gives back to society through important causes. Over the years, Purnam has become known for its events that celebrate fashion, lifestyle, and wellness. This year’s Diwali Edit, organized by Mystic Events and led by Sonali Mongia Amla, promises to be a fresh, vibrant experience. The exhibition will take place on October, 18 at The Claridges, New Delhi, a fitting venue for such a grand event.

As for what to expect? Purnam’s Diwali Edit is nothing short of a grand spectacle, offering an eclectic mix of fashion, lifestyle, and wellness products, all meticulously curated to reflect the spirit of the season. It’s a true celebration of artistry and festivity, featuring an impressive lineup of renowned designers and brands. Visitors will be treated to a stunning range of creations, from the refined contemporary aesthetics of Urvashi Kaur to the bold, vibrant prints of Pranay Baidya. Poonam Bhagat’s ethnic wear is set to be a highlight, offering a seamless fusion of traditional charm and modern elegance. But the event doesn’t stop there—alongside these stalwarts, a plethora of standout labels such as House of Mahe, Tulip Comfort Wear, Basic Design by Parool Trehan, Carishma by Ambika, Chaar Chand, Diva’s PopUp, and Ruchika & Mallika Pret Wear will also showcase their unique offerings. The variety is bound to dazzle, with options for every fashion-forward individual looking to embrace Diwali in style. "We are incredibly excited about this year's Diwali Edit at Purnam," shared Saroj Bhatia, the Founder of Purnam. "Our aim has always been to bring together the very best of handcrafted treasures and festive essentials. This year, we are proud to feature a thrilling mix of established designers like Abraham & Thakore, Satya Paul, Purnam Bhagat, Urvashi Kaur, and Pranay Baidya, alongside emerging artisans. Every piece on display, from fashion to home décor, is rooted in tradition but is perfectly suited for modern, contemporary living."

But the Purnam Diwali Edit is more than just a shopping destination—it’s an immersive experience. Beyond the curated collections of fashion and home décor, attendees can indulge in the holistic offerings of MCKS Pranic Healing, a practice designed to promote wellness and rejuvenate the mind, body, and spirit. In preparation for Karva Chauth, there will be a delightful pop-up featuring unique mehendi designs and vibrant bangles, allowing guests to adorn themselves in festive finery. The exhibition also features an array of luxurious gifting options, including exclusive offerings from The Calming Hues and Studio Pottery, each item adding an extra layer of artisanal beauty and sophistication to the season’s celebrations.

Purnam’s commitment to social impact is another cornerstone of this year’s event. Through collaborations with various NGOs such as Naari Shakti, Udayan Care, Pins and Needles India, Pravān - Candles of Hope, and Gestures Ecological, Purnam ensures that the spirit of giving is at the heart of its endeavours. These partnerships are focused on uplifting local communities, promoting sustainable livelihoods, and fostering social change. As Saroj Bhatia so poignantly expressed, "This Diwali, it’s not just about the joy of shopping—it’s about honouring the craftsmanship of our artisans and making a meaningful difference in our society."

The Purnam Diwali Edit is more than an exhibition—it’s a celebration of culture, creativity, and community. It’s where the spirit of the festive season comes alive, brought together through exquisite artistry, heartfelt social engagement, and the joyful anticipation of Diwali. As the festival of lights approaches, join us in this spectacular event where every corner radiates with festive cheer, artful craftsmanship, and the joy of giving back.
