Back in 2021, two seasoned travellers, Bharat Seth and Simran, turned their passion for exploring the world into something extraordinary—OneLatitude. This boutique luxury travel company, based in New Delhi, specialises in curating intimate, offbeat journeys for families, couples, and solo adventurers. Bharat, a true explorer at heart, co-founded OneLatitude to bring the thrill of the great outdoors to everyone, while Simran, with her love for slow and immersive travel, adds a touch of magic by weaving in culture, traditions, food, and history into every experience.

During the pandemic, they noticed a shift in how people wanted to travel, adventure and unique experiences were becoming just as important as comfort. But there weren’t many options that combined the two in a meaningful and responsible way. And so, OneLatitude was born, designed to connect travellers with nature and local cultures while keeping things luxurious and accessible.
In just four years, OneLatitude has taken its travellers to over countries, spanning India, Africa, Europe, Central and Southeast Asia, and South America. Their destinations include everything from Namibia’s vast deserts and Iceland’s dramatic landscapes to Bhutan’s peaceful retreats. Every trip is carefully crafted to be unique, deeply personal, and truly transformative.
The OneLatitude Difference
Unlike traditional luxury travel, OneLatitude strikes the perfect balance between outdoor exploration, boutique accommodations, and authentic cultural experiences. You can think of it as the perfect blend between luxury travel and homestays that curate experiences that feel immersive, thoughtful, and genuinely unforgettable.
But what really sets them apart is their commitment to sustainability and responsible tourism. They champion plastic-free trips, support local communities, and meticulously track their carbon footprint to ensure a low-impact, high-value approach to travel. With a philosophy of #PersistenceOverPerfection, they’re always refining the way they do things, ensuring sustainable luxury travel isn’t just a buzzword, but in fact it’s a way of life.
“Authenticity is key, more and more people are looking at experiential travel from the lense of it being truly authentic and not something designed for travellers. In addition to this, more and more people want to get outdoors and experience nature in its most authentic raw sense.” - Bharat Seth and Simran, Co-Founders OneLatitude

Travel isn't just about ticking destinations off a list; it’s about real connections, immersing yourself in local culture, and embracing experiences that feel authentic. That’s why OneLatitude’s approach to luxury adventure stands out. By keeping group sizes intimate, with no more than 14 travellers, their journeys feel personal, allowing for meaningful interactions with both people and places. Their itineraries don't include the usual tourist spots, instead, they dive deep into the heart of a destination, offering experiences that are raw, real, and rich in culture. When you think of 'offbeat travel,' you might picture roughing it out, but OneLatitude is changing that game. They focus on boutique stays, private game reserves, and amazing meals created by traveling chefs. What really makes their approach stand out is their dedication to responsible travel. Every trip is designed to make a positive impact, whether it's supporting local communities or promoting sustainability.
Tailor-Made Adventures vs. Bespoke Luxury
OneLatitude offers two kinds of travel experiences. If you love meeting new people and exploring with like-minded adventurers, their flagship guided trips, Tailor-Made Adventures, are perfect. Personally hosted by Bharat and Simran, these trips blend the outdoors, culture, fantastic food, unique experiences, and luxury stays into one unforgettable journey. For those who prefer something ultra-exclusive and personalised, OneLatitude Bespoke Holidays are designed to reflect your unique preferences, pace, and interests. Whether it’s a privately guided Himalayan expedition, a luxury safari in Africa, or an in-depth cultural escape in Europe, their team of experts ensures every detail is crafted to perfection. No two trips are ever the same.

How do you define experiential luxury travel?
Experiential luxury, for us, prioritises unique, immersive, and personalised experiences over traditional luxury elements, such as high-end amenities alone. Instead of merely booking five-star resorts, it is about crafting memorable, meaningful, and often exclusive experiences that cater to our travellers' individual interests and requests. The aim is to go beyond material luxury and create a sense of connection to the destination, its people, and its culture. It is about curating a journey that is personal, transformative, and deeply memorable.
Your upcoming curated journeys span diverse landscapes, from the high-altitude roads of Spiti to the nomadic trails of Kyrgyzstan. How do you decide which destinations to include?
For us, each destination we operate in is personally explored by us before we decide to launch a trip there. Our guided trips are typically hosted in locations that we believe our guests may not visit on their own. These destinations are often overlooked by traditional tourists, may present language barriers, or offer opportunities where OneLatitude can provide significant added value. This could mean booking a private yurt camp in Kyrgyzstan, travelling with our own chef through Spiti, or driving across the Icelandic highlands in modified 4x4s. Each of our guided trips is designed to be unique and to go beyond the ordinary.
As slow travel gains popularity, how does OneLatitude ensure immersive, high-value experiences while maintaining exclusivity?
We always say—it is not what we do, but how we do it. That makes all the difference. The key lies in the level of personalisation and involvement we have in every trip we curate. It is also about constantly evolving and finding new experiences, new people in each destination and building products with local teams to ensure there is always something new and interesting to offer.
Who is the ideal OneLatitude traveller?
Someone who is excited to explore the world, embrace new cultures, and immerse themselves in unfamiliar experiences. Our ideal traveller is open-minded and not afraid to try something new.
Have you seen a shift in the kind of travellers opting for experiential travel?
More and more people are not looking for something other than traditional travel. We noticed that even older travellers who were more traditional in their travel approach now request unique experiences and are willing to step into the unknown (with a trusted partner). Young travellers seek to explore more, getting greater value for their money spent, and desire unique experiences, often willing to forgo comfort..
Are there any emerging travel trends that excite you?
Sustainable and conscious travel is growing and it's the most exciting travel trend for us. We, as a company, keep a check on our carbon footprint and find ways to reduce it on our guided trips. For us, it's exciting and a huge win when guests request eco-friendly accommodations or make responsible travel choices.
Which destinations have been the most popular among your guests?
Europe remains a favourite among travellers, but destinations like Iceland are gaining more interest than traditional destinations like France, Switzerland, Belgium and more. In addition, there has been a high uptake for South American countries like Peru, Bolivia, as well as African countries like Botswana and Namibia, beyond the usual Kenya and Tanzania. There has also been growing interest in countries such as Georgia, Azerbaijan, and Kazakhstan—destinations that are becoming more accessible due to easier visa policies and direct flights from India.
What advice would you give to travellers seeking more meaningful, immersive journeys?
1. Don't be afraid to step outside of your comfort zone. Always do it with a trusted travel partner but be open to new experiences.
2. Don't try to do too much in little time; slow immersive travel means really slowing down the pace of your travel and focusing on just one region or country rather than rushing through multiple destinations. Spend more time in a single place, engage with locals, and go beyond tourist hotspots.
What are some underrated destinations you believe will be the next big thing in experiential luxury travel?
Any and all destinations have potential to provide experiential luxury. Even the destinations which are over-touristy have a side to them which is often unexplored. However, central asian countries like Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Armenia, Tajikistan are all up and coming for Indian travellers considering their proximity. In addition, African countries like Botswana stand out as a top-tier destination for experiential luxury, offering unparalleled wildlife and adventure experiences.
What’s your dream destination or experience that you’d love to curate but haven’t yet?
Next up on our travel list is Antarctica, and it's going to be a reality very soon!
