Louis Vuitton Cruise 2025 Spotlights Sleek Tailoring and Voluminous Proportions

Setting sail on a journey of sartorial excellence, the Louis Vuitton Cruise 2025 collection captures the Maison’s passion for travel through its bold Spanish influences. Drawing inspiration Spain, creative director Nicolas Ghesquière transports us to a world where luxury meets the horizon. The architectural wonder of Park Güell, designed by Antoni Gaudí, provided an ideal setting for a collection that seamlessly combined '80s couture references with equestrian touches. This UNESCO World Heritage site, completed in 1914, embodies the artistic spirit of Barcelona, a city where Gaudí's legacy continues to evolve. Against this backdrop, the Cruise 2025 collection celebrates the vibrant culture of Spain, embracing its passionate character and rich traditions.

The enchanting Park Güell served as the perfect setting for a collection that effortlessly transitioned between '80s couture inspirations and equestrian influences. From matadors to flamenco dancers, Ghesquière draws inspiration from various facets of Spanish life, incorporating folk elements and geometric prints reminiscent of Gaudí's iconic mosaics. The colour palette oscillates between tans, greys, and blacks well juxtaposed with the striking reds, greens, and blues.

The Louis Vuitton Cruise 2025 collection mixes vintage 80s style with futuristic elements, creating outfits that feel out of this world. But there are also hints of Tumblr-inspired fashion from the 2010s and the power dressing of the 80s. Think big shoulders, Miami vice-style blazers, pleats with belts, and lots of monogrammed bags. There's a playful twist to the workwear theme, almost like clown-inspired fashion with jester-like touches, imaginative shapes and stunning finishes. Ghesquière's attention to textures is evident, with fringe-adorned boots, tops trimmed with fluffy tulle, and dresses covered in dense patterns. The venue lights up as dusk falls, showcasing garments adorned with embellishments, embroidery, puffiness, and tufts. Some outfits feature cinched waists and oversized blazers paired with Jodhpuri pants, adding a touch of structure to the whimsical collection. Voluminous silhouettes, balloon hemlines, crochet pants, fringed footwear, and structure with fluidity were standouts within the collection.

Oversized silhouettes, crochet details, and sleek tailoring were all infused with Ghesquière's modern sensibility. Gathered looks were cinched with oversized leather belts, offering a modern interpretation of the flamenco style. Accessorising the looks were flat-rimmed boat hats, Yeti-inspired shoes and fringed gloves.

The Louis Vuitton Cruise 2025 embodies Ghesquière's distinctive aesthetic, infused with a touch of Spain's timeless elegance. Browse through the collection in photos.
