Kate Spade NY Opens A Debut Kate Spade Café Pop-Up Opens in Bloomingdale's, Dubai Mall




The realm of luxury is no longer confined to fashion boutiques and exquisite timepieces; it has seamlessly extended into the gastronomic sphere. In the recent past, there has been a mushrooming of multiple designer cafes around the world including the recently unveiled LV Palace Bangkok and Coach The Restaurant in Jakarta. Joining the bandwagon is American fashion brand Kate Spade New York. The brand debuted its first-ever global café concept within Bloomingdale’s at Dubai Mall.





Kate Spade New York, renowned for its vibrant and playful approach to fashion, has taken a bold step into the culinary world with the launch of its first-ever global café concept. This fusion of fashion and flavour marks a significant milestone for the American brand as it extends its footprint into the realm of lifestyle experiences. Open until June 30, the café design features Kate Spade brand codes of green with pops of vivid reds and pinks alongside graphic black and cream stripes and polka-dots. This seamless integration of brand codes creates an inviting ambiance that reflects the brand's ethos of joy and individuality. Moreover, the attention to detail extends to the culinary offerings, where even the desserts bear the hallmark Kate Spade logo, making each indulgence a visual and gastronomic delight.





At the Kate Spade café in Dubai, even the desserts are decadent. Each one is designed with the brand’s logo and comes in colours that reflect the interior design. Look out for the cupcakes with green icing, and coffee served in monochrome cups that reflect the interior design. On the menu, you can find cold and hot coffee ranging from a Cappuccino to Cortado and Flat White. Plus, the signature drink includes the Kate Spade Special Matcha, which is a matcha latte with crushed Oreo.





What truly sets the Kate Spade café apart is its commitment to providing patrons with a holistic lifestyle experience. Beyond serving delectable treats, the café serves as a gateway for customers to immerse themselves in the world of Kate Spade New York. Liz Fraser, the chief executive and brand president of Kate Spade New York, aptly encapsulates the significance of this venture, stating, "We’re an emotional brand, building emotional connections with our customers; and one of my strategic priorities is to do that more globally. What better way to invite our customers and brand fans in Dubai into the world of Kate Spade than our own café? It is our first hospitality concept in the world, leading into the opening of our new store in the UAE, and I couldn’t be more thrilled.”





The café's debut also signals a broader expansion strategy for Kate Spade New York in the region. With plans for a flagship store at the Mall of Emirates and further expansion slated for the second half of 2024, the brand is poised to deepen its roots in the UAE market.
