Ed Westwick and Amy Jackson’s wedding was the kind of event most people only dream of. The couple, who first met in 2021 at an Aston Martin event at Silverstone, managed to turn their love story into a real-life fairytale. In a stunning display of love, Ed Westwick popularly famed for his role as Chuck Bass in Gossip Girl, and Hollywood's IT girl Amy Jackson, exchanged vows again on August, 24, at a destination wedding in Italy—after tying the knot during a small civil ceremony in London. The couple's stunning Italian celebration, set against the picturesque backdrop of Cilento and the Amalfi Coast, sparked buzz across social media for days, and we still aren't over it.
What truly made this wedding stand out wasn’t just the stunning venue or the designer gowns, but the attention to detail. The entire event, which spanned three luxurious days, was flawlessly orchestrated by Costanza Giaconi, the renowned Florence-based wedding planner with a portfolio of over 500 destination weddings. Giaconi, who is undoubtedly one of the best in the business, transformed what could have been a typical celebrity wedding into an intimate masterpiece. Costanza Giaconi, Founder, Director, and Partner for European operations at Resh & Co, reflected on the occasion, saying, "Ed and Amy’s Italian wedding was a meticulously planned masterpiece. From the magnificent Rocca Cilento Castle venue to the personalised touches, every element was carefully curated to create a truly magical experience." She added, "It was a dream come true to work on Ed and Amy’s wedding. Our greatest joy came from crafting a celebration that reflected their love and personalities. Even with a tight timeline, we seamlessly incorporated their specific requests, from personalised music and cocktails to custom-designed décor, including tablecloth prints. Seeing their faces light up with joy as they celebrated their love in such a beautiful setting was incredibly rewarding."
Hosting 200 guests, including family and friends from the States, India, and Europe, Ed and Amy’s three-day wedding extravaganza on the Amalfi Coast is destination wedding goals! The region, known for its timeless romance and charm, provided the perfect setting for their nuptials, and the couple’s decision to marry there was, nothing short of perfect. The moment Ed and Amy laid eyes on Rocca Cilento Castle, it was clear they had found their dream location.
The couple welcomed around 200 guests who travelled from the United States, India, and various parts of Europe to join them for a three-day celebration on the Amalfi Coast. The region, known for its timeless romance and charm, provided the perfect setting for their nuptials. Costanza recalled the couple’s reaction when they first saw Rocca Cilento Castle, saying, "Their faces lit up as soon as we entered the gates; I knew we had found the perfect location. The castle embodied all their desires, blending history, charm, romance, and family warmth—a true fairytale venue for the wedding of the year."
The Flow of Events
Ed Westwick and Amy Jackson's wedding in Italy was a three-day extravaganza that combined a fairytale aesthetic with a relaxed family weekend vibe, keeping in mind the couple's love for Italy and their desire for an intimate gathering. "They wanted to create a relaxed and family-friendly atmosphere, which we achieved by incorporating elements like a beach club and a family-style lunch," Costanza told The Style List. Surrounded by close family and friends, the couple exchanged heartfelt vows under the clear Italian sky, with the Mediterranean breeze adding a touch of natural beauty to the occasion. The setting, with its terracotta hues and olive trees, created a rustic yet refined ambience, perfect for the couple’s romantic vision.
The festivities kicked off in true Italian fashion with a glamorous welcome party aboard a private motorboat, where guests sailed along the Amalfi Coast, sipping cocktails and enjoying a sunset over the Faraglioni. It sounds almost too idyllic to be true—champagne, Michelin-starred menus, and live music against the backdrop of a sparkling Mediterranean. "It was as if the couple had stepped into their own personal dream sequence, with the sparkling sea and the vibrant sky providing the perfect backdrop," said Costanza.
The actual wedding day, held at Rocca Cilento Castle, was no less spectacular. With floral arrangements designed by Federica Sotilli and a décor palette that blended classic and modern elements, the ceremony radiated an understated elegance. "The highlight of the wedding decor was undoubtedly the stunning floral arrangements," Giaconi explained. "We worked with Federica Sotilli to blend classic and modern elements, using soft, romantic colours. The result was both elegant and unforgettable." The reception, featuring a parade around the castle with local flag bearers and a wedding cake by renowned chef Damiano Carrara, was as grand as it was heartfelt.
The third and final day was dedicated to relaxation at Giardini del Fuenti in Vietri sul Mare, where a beach club was recreated in the gardens. The couple bid farewell to their guests in true Italian spirit, hosting a relaxed lunch at the Giardini del Fuenti, complete with fried pizza and pasta. This wasn’t some over-the-top extravaganza; it was a simple, family-style meal, perfectly reflecting their desire for an intimate, personal celebration.
A Style Icon’s Moment
No wedding, of course, is complete without the fashion. Amy Jackson, known for her impeccable style, looked every inch the classic bride in an Alberta Ferretti gown that combined timeless sophistication with a modern edge. The cascading layers, delicate lace, and fitted silhouette were perfectly complemented by a dramatic veil, making her the centre of attention as she walked down the aisle. Ed Westwick, too, was the embodiment of classic elegance in his tailored suit, exuding a sense of effortless luxury that perfectly matched Amy’s bridal look. Together, they were the epitome of chic.
This wasn’t just a celebrity wedding; it was a beautiful celebration of love, set against one of the most romantic backdrops imaginable. And, really, isn’t that what all weddings should aspire to be?
