A few months ago, I visited the Essentia Environments experience centre in Gurugram, and I found everything my home needed in the store. This was my first official introduction to the brand. The touch of each product was luxurious and high quality, and as soon as I entered the store, I was greeted by a breath of fresh air. Be it the design and manufacturing process, unconventional pieces that captured my gaze or simply the architecture of the store itself, it was an experience that was etched in my heart.
Fast forward to February 2025, and I got the news that Essentia Home, the parent company of Essentia Environments, is opening another store on MG Road in the Delhi Design District. This time the icing on the cake was the introduction of an exclusive selection of Rimadesio products, marking a first-of-its-kind partnership in North India with the renowned Italian brand. The news filled me with joy and my visit to the store of course left me with nothing but the greed to purchase almost everything off the rack, and simply give my house an Essentia Home upgrade. But let’s rewind…. What is the ‘Essentia Home Upgrade’ that I am talking about? For me, Essentia Home is the epitome of unconventional designs, a brand that celebrates fluidity, curves, comfort and above all understated style that is a stark contrast to maximalism. Earthy tones and evergreen accent colours, with punctuations of vibrant hues, add life to the store. The new store is no different and is in sync with my definition.

Walking into the spacious new address, I was instantly drawn in by Rimadesio's products on the ground floor. A large TV cabinet and an inviting L-shaped sofa set the welcoming tone. Sitting on the wall behind were contemporary shelves with see-through doors, while the adjacent room showcased the beauty of the brand's signature bespoke sliding doors, swing doors, walk-in closets, tables with stone tops in circular and geometric designs, study tables, and luxury furniture for both residences and offices. A common theme tying together each of the products was the expressive aesthetic that was minimal with clean lines and extremely sophisticated.
One surprising feature was the transparent wardrobe designs and the ease with which you can organize your closet. I found myself wondering—would it actually stay that neat? That’s debatable for me! However, the design certainly speaks volumes when it comes to quiet luxury. The see-through doors, equipped with the latest twist technology locks and leather-crafted drawers, create a striking appearance. The wardrobes with hanging rods make it incredibly easy to see and retrieve your outfits. And yes, customization options are definitely available to suit your needs!
As I moved upstairs, the essence of Essentia Home came to life. The space was not only aesthetically pleasing, but each product also told its own story, all designed by Essentia. From bespoke furniture for various spaces to wall panels, vanities, soft furnishings, fragrances, artworks, sculptures, and décor, the store features over 1,000 unique products—a key philosophy of the brand. With this store, Essentia Home has also introduced kitchens to their expansive portfolio, truly making the brand a one-stop shop for all home needs. Their kitchens champion ease and fluidity, showcasing how modern kitchens can seamlessly blend into living areas without overtly resembling kitchens. If you keep up with trends in India, it’s no surprise that open kitchens with dining spaces are becoming increasingly popular in homes. Ovens are camouflaged with wooden cabinetry, while countertops are designed with slits for easy access to kitchen towels or tissue paper. A standout product for me was the outdoor bar, which resembled a larger, contemporary version of the traditional standing basins. The attention to detail becomes apparent when you take a closer look at the design. This outdoor-appropriate stoneware bar includes a drainage pipe for easy disposal of wasted drinks and ice. Additionally, the bar features storage drawers, which are always a welcome addition.
One product I particularly loved was the console table, which featured a delicate wooden surface and a fabric bottom that showcased how materials in similar tones can harmoniously blend together. Another eye-catching design was the black stone table, which was aesthetically asymmetrical—an area where many can go wrong, but this brand seems to have mastered it! The stone table top was not uniform, instead some areas with sunk in in geometric designs creating a magnificent effect. A few other pieces that caught my attention included a furry single sofa that felt like a warm hug, an outdoor sofa that doubles as a swing, perfect for a balcony or patio, as well as unconventional centre tables and an indoor fireplace that appeared to be made from stone—an ideal addition to a large farmhouse.
As you walk through the store, you have the opportunity to touch, feel, and experience exclusive materials and finishes like marble, wood, leather, glass, and veneer. You can also admire luxury accents such as stylish fireplaces, bar counters, and functional cabinets that serve as statement pieces. The loose bar cabinets, for instance, are impressive; when I opened the doors, I discovered a bar space revealed with drawers featuring push technology. Comfort is championed throughout, particularly in the beds that have integrated automation controls, and I was drawn to the gorgeous carpets produced in Bhadohi. Standing under the sculptural lighting by Melogranoblu, I fell in love with the conversation-starting Ichendorf glassware that beautifully complements the collections. The final touches of Essentia’s signature fragrances and candles ensure a holistic sensory experience.
While the furniture pieces are always a visual delight, the team has thoughtfully incorporated art pieces, such as paintings and sculptures, not only from well-known artists like Hussain but also from their in-house team. The real charm is that it’s hard to distinguish one from another unless you look carefully for the signature. This feature also makes the store a fascinating art hub for me.
I can't put each of my experiences into words, because the store needs to be visited to get the real feel. In reality, the beauty is that the store is thoughtfully designed to give every customer a real-time vision of how their fully furnished home would look. Be it a living, dining, bedroom, study, kitchen or outdoor area, and if the style doesn’t fit your home experts can lead you to pick and choose individual pieces that pair beautifully when placed together.
