What are your thoughts on collaborating with Laneige India?
I am delighted to express my utmost pleasure in having the chance to collaborate with Laneige India. Even prior to our collaboration, Laneige has played a significant role in my skincare regimen. I deeply appreciate their products for their straightforwardness, user-friendliness, and remarkable results they deliver.
With the rising popularity of K Beauty, what’s your opinion - is it a trend or a fad?
K beauty has been on the rise when it comes to skincare. I believe K Beauty has been influential in introducing innovative skincare practices, multi-step routines, and unique product formulations. It has garnered a dedicated following and has influenced the beauty industry as a whole. Many of its concepts, such as double cleansing, sheet masks, and emphasis on hydration, have become integrated into skincare routines globally. I also feel it has impacted my skincare routine as well as enjoying doing the various steps in one's routine. On Sundays, I love applying a chilled sheet mask on my face and just relaxing.
Tell us about the K-beauty rituals you follow and how Laneige products differ from all other brands you’ve used.
Laneige's products possess a remarkable user-friendliness that surpasses what I have encountered with other brands in the past. What captivates me the most is the inclusion of a lip wand with Laneige's Lip Sleeping Mask, enhancing the application process to a level of utmost simplicity.
Tell us about your skincare routine.
I have worked over the years to take care of my skin and ensure to have a 360-degree viewpoint in taking care of it, and consistency is non-negotiable for my beauty regime. I have a holistic point of view to maintain my skin. Starting with the fundamental importance of staying adequately hydrated by consuming enough water. In addition, I ensure at least 1 meal of my day has protein and loads of green leafy vegetables.
To break down my skincare routine. I feel my morning routine is simple compared to my nighttime skincare routine. For my AM routine, I keep my morning routine simple. Since I have dry skin I skip the cleanser in the morning. Followed by a moisturizer and then most important Sunscreen. I ensure I use the three-finger rule for the application of sunscreen. In contrast, my PM routine has more steps involved. I ensure I start by double cleansing my face to eliminate any sunscreen or makeup residue. This has been a total game-changer in my skincare game. I follow it up by using Laneige’s water bank collection’s cream which is lightweight for the skin.
On lazy days what are the skincare steps you skip and which ones are non-negotiable?
On those lazy days that we all experience, my morning routine still revolves around the fundamental CTM (Cleansing, Toning, Moisturizing) steps. Even when I'm looking for simplicity, I make sure to follow these basics. To start, I cleanse my face to remove any impurities and freshen up my skin. Following that, I apply a generous amount of hydrating moisturizer. Personally, I find Laneige's Water Bank Collection cream to be ideal for lazy days because it is lightweight yet incredibly hydrating, providing the necessary moisture my skin craves. One step that I never skip, regardless of how lazy I feel, is applying sunscreen. Sun protection is crucial for maintaining the health and youthfulness of the skin. By incorporating sunscreen into my routine every day, I can shield my skin from the harmful effects of UV rays.
